The Wellness Universe presents Lynda Lippin, Bone Health Expert Leader, CEO and Pilates Goddess at Lynda Lippin Pilates, LLC, guiding you through Exercise for Bone Health, Strength, & Mobility a 6-month program that will help you to enjoy better health, mobility, vitality, and overall wellbeing. Many women over 40 are discovering that their bones are weak. The one thing that is completely safe, effective, and works with any other modality, is exercise. Yet, only 38% of women over 19 exercise regularly. Exercise can be scary when you’re not sure how to modify movements. That’s where this course comes in! Better strength, balance, mobility, & posture = less falling and less fracture risk. You’ll learn to enjoy movement with less fear. Live 60-minute sessions take place second Tuesdays 11:30am ET/8:30am PT beginning March 14th. In between sessions, Lynda will be available and supporting you via a private group and available via email. Here is what is included in Lynda’s course schedule: Session 1 March 14th: What is osteoporosis? What movements need modification? We will learn what osteoporosis is, why we have it, and how to move forward. Introduce 5 basic exercises. Session 2 April 11th: Why is exercise so effective for building bone? Some science, and then some more exercises that safely focus on core strength without crunches. Session 3 May 9th: Using Gravity to help build bone strength. All weight bearing exercise involves gravity, including lifting weights. Here's how to use gravity to our advantage. Session 4 June 13th: Keeping it Simple No need for complex choreography or lots of props. The simplest workouts are the most effective. Session 5 July 11th: Moving the Spine There are safe ways to move your spine, even with osteoporosis. Let's explore why and how. Session 6 August 8th: Final Q & A Bring all your questions about moving forward with this work for a lifetime of fitness. You may have heard the expression that “expectation is the mother of disappointment”. If you think about it, this makes a lot of sense. The more attached you are to a particular outcome or result, the more disappointment you will likely experience if that outcome or result fails to materialize. In fact, any time you feel disappointment, you can almost certainly trace it back to a high level of attachment about something you wanted! Interestingly, if you have a particular objective in mind and you can release your attachment to a particular outcome, what you are actually doing is setting an intention for that objective rather than an expectation. In effect, you are creating an aspiration in your heart and mind, and this produces a whole different feel in your body. It is a more invitational and welcoming energy, which allows the Universe to deliver in its own way what you are calling forth. When you think of Healing, your first thought probably involves visions of recovering from an injury or trauma. No doubt you’ve heard about one of the most popular diets these days. It’s called the Keto Diet, and its main claim to fame is that it recommends high levels of quality fats, moderate levels of protein, and low levels of carbohydrate.
