Self-sabotage is far more common than most of us might believe. If you have ever engaged in behaviors such as procrastination, comfort eating, compulsive shopping, or self-medication, there’s a pretty good chance that you have sabotaged yourself—even if it was totally unconscious. Almost everyone does something at one time or another that is potentially damaging to his/her wellbeing, but if it becomes an unconscious habit, as happens to so many people, then it can really mess up your life! In this episode of Life Mastery TV, we are going to look at this topic in detail. To help me in this quest, I have invited Mindset Strategist Melissa Jirovec to join me. Melissa believes that “We are not meant to stay where we are in comfort! We are meant to grow, evolve, persist, thrive, and develop strength and courage to create a life of abundance and contribution.” And she proves this on a regular basis by helping people out of their internal blockages into the brilliance and truth of who they really are. As part of our conversation, we will be touching on all of the following points, plus a lot more: * Identity * Clarity * Audacity * Priorities Come join us for the live presentation and learn some great tools to reduce or eliminate self-sabotage in your life!
Have you ever had one of those “extended family visits”? Yes, we’re talking about extended visits, and yes, we’re also talking about extended family! No doubt, you are already nodding your head knowingly, because we’ve all experienced mixed feelings of anticipation and apprehension when stepping out for a visit with family we may not have seen in quite some time. You may really be looking forward to getting caught up and connecting with your family while wondering what to expect and imagining how you’ll handle potential conflicts, power struggles or inevitable recollections of your past failures! The question is: how do you show up authentically with your emotions compassionately in check? How do you imagine you can deal with potential personality clashes or power struggles that will likely arise, and still remain in flow? How do you handle family dynamics that have “history” while still being present in the moment? There is always so much going on beneath the surface within our family visits! While you may have done your own personal healing work and are emotionally prepared to connect with everyone, that may not be the case with other family members, so it’s natural to feel apprehensive about the encounters. But when we arrive emotionally equipped from a place of loving intention, so much wonderful connection—and yes, even healing—can manifest itself at these gatherings! Here are some of the takeaways you can expect to receive during this deep conversation: * Why it matters to show up authentically to your voice and your needs. * How to extend compassion towards yourself and others while protecting your sacred energy. * How to integrate and balance your emotional needs with those of your family members. Join us as we unpack this topic. Come share your own experiences about this kind of situation, and listen to us as we share our similar experiences. Let’s all find out what we can learn.
True communication is an art, an exercise in sharing and mutual understanding. If we wish to create the kind of life we truly desire—which involves many relationships with a lot of different people—then we must master two critical skills: 1. Listening to understand; 2. Speaking to be understood. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? And yet, it seems clear that with so many misunderstandings, disagreements, conflicts and even wars that have taken place in our history—and continue to this day—something is amiss with our collective ability to communicate. What on earth are we doing wrong? Well, this is indeed a massively huge problem in the world, and we are not likely to solve it in a single episode of Life Mastery TV. But each of us can do our part to improve our own communication skills. By doing so, we cannot help but contribute to a better world. For this episode, I’ve invited back my good friend Linda Shively, a neuroscience and mindset expert who knows a lot about communication. I hope you’ll join us as we take a deep dive into this rich and challenging topic. Here’s some of what we plan to discuss: * Keys to Understanding * Communication Failure * The Game of “Telephone” * Responsibilities * Avoid/Resolve Conflict Please join us for what promises to be a very lively conversation on a challenging but relevant topic.
