LMTV #216: Wired for Sound (Sharon Carne)
Sages the world over have known for eons that vibration and frequency—most evident to humans in the form of sound and light—have a powerful impact on almost all aspects of our lives. Most people today are well aware of at least some of these phenomena, although we may not be able to fully understand or explain them all. One branch of science in particular, cymatics, devotes itself specifically to the study of sound and how different frequencies create unique patterns of vibration that affect the entire space for significant distances from the source.
Our understanding of sound and its effects expands daily, and some people take the growing knowledge and put it to use in ways that improve and enhance well-being. One such person is my guest for this episode of Life Mastery TV, who uses sound extensively in her wellness practice. Sharon Carne is a Sound Healing Therapist who has been creating sound and music related healing programs for many years. I’m delighted that she’s going to be sharing some of her extensive wisdom on this subject in the upcoming episode. Here’s a sampling of what we plan to talk about:
* Human Antennas
* Input Affects Output
* Healthy Sources of Sound
* The Main Elements
Sound and music therapy are well-known modalities that provide all kinds of benefits to health and well-being. There are hundreds of peer-reviewed studies that provide plenty of evidence for many different approaches. Empower yourself to try a few of them and discover something that might make a huge difference in your life.
About Sharon Carne
------------------
Sharon Carne’s love of music began with the songs of her grandmother and mother. This love was later amplified by singing in choirs and learning to play the classical guitar, which in turn led to a Bachelor of Music degree from Queen’s University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Eventually ending up as a faculty member at The Conservatory-Mount Royal University in Calgary, Sharon built a successful studio of students from 3 to 70 years old.
In the 1990s, Sharon was inspired to investigate the healing properties of sound. Following years of personal research, as well as training with American pioneers of sound healing, Sharon was further inspired to create a program to evaluate Sound Healing/Therapy as an effective way to manage stress. This program was so successful that, in 2008, Sharon created her Sound Wellness Institute to share the information with a wider audience.
