I am a survivor of the suicide death of my only sibling, my brother in 2000 and survived my own attempt in 2001. I am a recovering alcoholic who spent most of my adult life avoiding some traumatic events that happened to me as a young teenager. I co-chaired 6 Out Of The Darkness Suicide Prevention Walks through the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention in my hometown in Upper Michigan. I want to offer hope and healing to others who struggle with depression, suicide loss of a loved ones and to help erase stigma associated with mental illnesses.
